Leadership Development
Linda has developed the Praxis Group Model, a unique and highly effective leadership development program designed to address the high learning needs of senior managers working in large, complex organisations such as hospitals and universities.
The Praxis Group Model provides a professional development opportunity consistent with the dramatic increase in the rate of change experienced by these sectors. It also addresses the challenges inherent in managing operational imperatives, leading other professionals and navigating a landscape that includes the need for global positioning, government reform agendas and organizational priorities and structures.
This model of development provides a alternative to traditional training courses offered to managers and leaders.
What is Praxis? The word 'Praxis' embodies the notion of taking action using models, examples, theories and accepted practice. In the context of professional development, the Praxis Group Model provides an experiential learning environment that uses the current issues, challenges and objectives of each group to explore leadership knowledge, skills and practice. the dynamic of the group it's self is also used to enhance learning outcomes.
Typically, a group of senior managers or leaders meet for 1.5 hours approximately every 4 weeks for 6 months. each group session requires the participants to identify current issues and challenges, share learnings and achievements and reflect on the theory and practice of leadership and management.
Linda's expert and tailored facilitation of these groups ensures that both the participating individuals and the organisations within which they work are better equipped to deal with the leadership challenges common to the 21st century
